The Flâneuse photography workshop was conceived to explore the power of the gaze, to investigate the way women look and how this gaze is constructed. Furthermore, to create conversations around the issues of safety and how insecurity impacts how women navigate and experience the city of Lagos. The workshop took place from 4th – 6th March 2020 at INDIGO Lagos with a keen focus on participants sharing real experiences of how they work and live in a very gendered city.
